I devoured _A Game of Thrones_. It tells a complex story of scheming royals and intertwined families, the tensions of war and ancient evils rising again at the edges of the known world. There are some despicable characters and some truly honorable characters and people trying to keep their families safe and trying to reestablish the authority of ancient bloodlines.
Martin has created different cultures and societies with different gods clashing for dominance and meanwhile, winter is coming....
